Kolkata is a city full of things to explore, whether for a spiritually fulfilling journey or just as a tourist looking to explore the area. In this five-day trip, we start with a Darshan tour by visiting some of the most prominent Hindu temples of Kolkata. The Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Divine Seats or Shakti Peethas that are spread across seven nations. To be precise, it is where the right toes of Sati – the incarnation of Goddess Kali – fell. We’ll continue visiting several other remarkable temples around Hooghly Temple, including the Dakshineswar Kali Temple and Belur Math. Then we’ll go on a city tour visiting landmarks of Kolkata, such as the Victoria Memorial, and Asia’s first Anglican cathedral from the Church of London outside Great Britain, St. Paul’s Church. And obviously, Eden Gardens that is the world’s second-largest cricket stadium after Melbourne’s. We’ll spend a day in Mayapur at the ISKCON Mayapur campus visiting the museum and temples, as well as to Goshala where we can meet and even brush and pet the ethically grown cows there. We know you’ll only leave Kolkata with the best memories of this place.
